Schedule: 12 days on, 7 days off, with an estimated 10 hours/day - - Start Date: 11/15/2024 | End Date: 1/4/2027
Accommodations: Floatel or in-town apartment provided
Travel Reimbursement: 10 hours per travel day + mileage at $0.59/km.
Quality Engineer and will lead the inspection team at the construction site and responsible for ensuring the quality requirements associated with the marine installation work of both the Contractor and their sub-contractors are in accordance with the contract requirements, responsible for verifying the work is performed in accordance with applicable codes, standards, policies, procedures, drawings, and specific contract requirements; responsible for the oversight of inspection personnel, conducting assessments, inspections, and surveillance and testing activities of marine installation activities and for regularly interfacing with Company representatives in their assigned areas.
Requirements
• Bachelor degree in civil engineering or equivalent with 10 + years' experience in capital construction projects in the oil/gas industry.
• Experience in marine projects in Canada.
• Experience in equivalent projects in similar positions performing regular audits and critical inspections as and when required.
• Detailed knowledge of Canadian Codes and Standards
• Has clearly demonstrated strong Quality Assurance competence.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse and multi-disciplinary environment in both national and international team environments
• Demonstrated organizational, interpersonal and teambuilding skills.
• Expertise in Welding, NDT systems and ISO auditing is preferred.
• Have good, computer and communication skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage and guide the QA/QC activities during the execution of the work in a manner that achieves the project quality requirements within the Quality Standards, Cost, and Schedule targets set by the Company.
• Ensure that all actions, works, and services undertaken by Contractor and their subcontractors are in accordance with the respective Contractual Agreement.
• Assess marine installation work process and work product verification, (e.g. perform QC surveillance, participate in Mechanical Completion process, and monitor specification deviations).
• Prepare marine installation and construction related project quality system management documentation
• Identify trends, assist and work with Contractor to minimize nonconformance situation.
• Monitor quality control performance, coordinate project quality metrics and reporting, and provide quality metrics as requested by Quality Engineer
• Monitor independently the marine installation work to ensure job compliance in accordance with project specifications.
• Provide technical guidance to Company's inspection personnel as required
• Review quality inspection personnel qualifications and training requirements
• Conduct Quality surveillance audits of the marine installation works during the construction phase with timely management reporting.
• Ensure that QA/QC culture is visible across all projects at all levels.
• Provide inputs to the collection of Lessons Learned for the project.
Weekly/Monthly Deliverables
• Site Quality Weekly Report including status of NCR's, audit findings, and general site work quality issues
• Monthly updates on Goals and Objectives
